Scavenger hunt: The Outdoor Challenge

Price per event with the specified number of Teams – for as many people as you want!

A super fun and easily achievable outdoor scavenger hunt in the park or forest – perfect for team building or just having a great time! In our app, grapevineQUEST, participants receive 100 diverse missions to solve by submitting a photo or video of the described tasks. The game leader approves or disapproves of the missions on a straightforward organizer site. The app tracks time and points! Creative, quirky, and fun – for both children and adults, or everyone together!

This is a game that suits virtually everyone! It’s a super fun, creative, and slightly quirky scavenger hunt that requires thinking outside the box. Suitable for all ages – children who can read, teenagers, adults, or everyone together! Specifically, The Outdoor Challenge is a QUEST scavenger hunt that works well for younger, literate children – featuring many concise, enjoyable tasks, largely focused on exploring nature – straightforward, fun, and perfect for those with a bit of energy to spare!

The game is played in our grapevineQUEST app. In the app, participants receive 100 easier and more challenging photo and video missions. They are supposed to depict what is described in the mission in a photo or video. Some things are concrete, like “Leaves from three different trees” or “Two insects,” while others are abstract, like “Something that smells bad” or “Something wet.” Missions can also be in the form of a riddle or something to do or portray, such as “Something that gets bigger the more you remove,” “Two team members hugging a tree,” “A bark boat sailing in a stream,” or “A team member giving a weather report for the day.” Some missions are easy, others considerably trickier, approved missions give 10, 30, or 50 points.

This is a really fun game! Participants must collaborate in the team and use a lot of inventiveness and creativity – it’s about both thinking and being quick! In The Outdoor Challenge, there are a total of 100 mixed missions. The goal is not for the teams to complete all of them, but the scavenger hunt is also about being strategic, choosing the missions that can be completed most easily and quickly in relation to the points they provide. Time is limited. We recommend a playtime of at least 60 minutes – then you have time for a lot of fun! But as the game leader, you can also set a different time for the game according to your preferences and the participants’ ages. For younger children, the game can be shortened so that they can maintain focus throughout. The time can vary between 30 and 90 minutes.

It’s all about collaboration. Prioritize the missions together, brainstorm, and come up with creative solutions, and for many missions, the whole team or different constellations of team members are needed. A good team size is 4-8 people. In The Outdoor Challenge, you also need to find many different things in nature, so some knowledge about nature needs to be sharpened!

The Outdoor Challenge takes place outdoors, in the forest or park. Some missions become easier or harder to solve depending on the conditions – but nothing is impossible! If a mission initially seems challenging, it’s about unleashing creativity and thinking outside the box. There are no right or wrong answers – the game leader decides and is recommended to reward the really fun and unique solutions! The game leader is the ultimate judge – and will undoubtedly have a blast!

Nothing else is needed than one phone with the app per team!

After the game ends, if desired, each team’s photos and videos can be exported. It can be enjoyable, for example, to create a slideshow for everyone to watch together!
